Call 9-1-1 to report crimes in progress, violence, accidents with injuries, fires, medical emergencies, and other emergency situations.
Text to 9-1-1
Residents and visitors who have text messaging and/or data plans from their carrier can text 9-1-1 in an emergency. Text-to-911 is supported by AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
Text-to-911 is intended for use in three scenarios:
For individuals who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or have a speech disability
For someone who is in a situation where it is unsafe to place a voice call to 911
For an individual who is experiencing a medical emergency and may be unable to speak

File a report online for auto thefts, credit card fraud, package theft, etc.

Non-Emergency Police Dispatch: 301-352-1200
A non-emergency dispatch request will result in the response of Prince George’s County Police, Fire/EMS, or Sheriff personnel to the scene of an actively or recently occurring public safety incident that does not immediately threaten life, safety, or property.
On-line Non-Emergency Dispatch Reporting
Submit an on-line dispatch request for non-emergency situations including: noise disturbance, suspicious person, traffic hazard, vandalism, theft (or attempt), etc.

Street Lights (Public/County Streets)
The Traffic Signal Design, Construction and Street Lighting Section of the Department's Traffic Engineering & Safety Division is responsible for installation in developed areas.
